The real howl is absolutely adorable though.
If you don’t like scorpions, don’t play! (or rather, you’ve been warned)
Grasshopper mice are immune to a lot of the poisons released by their prey (the poisonous snakes and scorpions), and guess what you lucky northern americaners (yes, even Canada!), you have them. Two species of them in fact, along the west coast! 
Regardless of whether they’re immune to the sting or not… Allowing anythng to stab you so much cannot be good!!! They must be desperate for food to put up that.

I vaugely remember hearing or reading somewhere that scorpion meat is meant to be a delicacy. But yes, I’m in the same mindset as you Liz – did you wince each time the scorpion struck and the mice squeaked?!
