Rose, Poppy and Lily (rehomed twice)

Part of the “clan” of gerbils from the large family rescue.  Rose was the mum of all the gerbs, Poppy is one of her eldest daughters and Lily is one of the most recent litters (and LAST!)  They are happily living with their new family and are away to move into their 3 foot tank.

Maria

Maria is now rehomed to Debbie and family and was successfully paired up with Debbie’s own gerbil, Bella.  Bella recently lost her sister so the two have become firm friends.

Anya and Bindi – REHOMED!!  by Kareen who runs  Fife Rabbit Rescue.  A lovely new home :)

Anya and Bindi

Both these mature ladies had been well cared for in their previous home but are now looking for a new loving home where they can live out their retirement as they are both around 2 years old.  Anya is an Argente Golden, and Bindi the collared Black.  Anya is very friendly and cheeky and Bindi is sweet and a little shy.  If you can offer these girls another chance please get in touch!  They will be ready to go to a new home at the end of the month (March)

Anya

Bindi

Larsson, Lubo and Lennon – Rehomed and now living the life of luxury with Patricia and her husband.

These three males are around 6 months old and were reluctantly given to us by their previous owner.  Unfortunately – he was moving house and the landlord would not allow the gerbils in the building.  The lads have been taken care of excellently and used to having lots of love and attention.  Larsson is the Ruby Eyed White and seems to be blind as he is often seen swaying from side to side and “scanning”.  Lennon is a CP Agouti and Lubo is a Dark patched spotted LCP agouti.  All boys are nice- but special care and patience would be needed for Larsson as he can be more easily spooked due to his disablity.

Lubo

Clarkson and Hammond

Now successfully rehomed with Vicky in Edinburgh

Moon and Sunny

These two handsome boys are Star’s pups.  Their sisters have a home reserved with Star but unfortunately these two boy’s home has fallen through.  They are both lovely and friendly gerbils and have just turned 7 weeks old and are ready to go to a new home.  If you can offer this please get in touch!

Unfortunately i no longer know where Moon and Sunny are.  They were rehomed to what i thought was a great home – but unfortunately were then put onto freecycle and the person would not return them to us.  I wish i knew that they are alright.

Moon

Sunny (gerbil at the front, Star at back)

Bubbles -Rehomed! She now lives with Kirsty and is waiting to be introduced to a friend!

Bubbles is a Pink Eyed White and came in with Blossom and Buttercup.  She had to be separated in her previous home due to fighting with the two.  She is a nice gerbil but will require regular gentle handling to get her more used to being picked up as she isnt as keen on it as her sisters.  Unfortunately due to her getting a bad fright the bottom part of her tail has come off.  This is a defense mechanism which can happen in gerbils if the tail is mishandled.  This way the tail will be left in a possible predators grasp and enable the gerbil to get away.  The black part visible will eventually drop off leaving just a smaller white tail.  Im sure you will agree she is still a beautiful girl

Gerbils who have found new loving homes:

Star and 2 female pups – These lovely girls now live in Sheffield with Jack and his family.  They have a huge 4 foot tank to play in and are very much loved.  Lucky gerbs!

Blossom and Buttercup – REHOMED! – Foster Mummy Heather has decided to keep Blossom and Buttercup for herself and her two children.  I am so glad they have found a lovely home ;)

These two girls are both 6 months old and Nutmeg in colour.  Unfortunately they came to us due to a member of the family having an allergy to them.  They are very friendly and inquisitive and will make lovely pets for either first time gerbil owners or more experienced people.  They really are very sweet and i would love to see them go to a nice home.

Kim and Aggie – UPDATE!! – These two girls have been rehomed.

These two girls came to us from a home where they were no longer wanted.  Originally bought as pets for children the novelty soon wore off and they lost interest so they came to us.  They are both nice girls but do require regular handling as they hadn’t had much in their previous home.  They are 4ish months old and Kim is agouti and Aggie is black.

These two girls are now living happily with Anne and Pete in their new home!

Just thought I’d add a comment to this page to say that by pure chance Moon and Sunny ended up with me, and as I’m a member of a gerbil forum which Nicki also is – so Nicki found her gerbs again and she can visit them whenever she likes :)

so whoever it was who was horribly determined to keep them from Nicki, they have failed miserably.

I’d love to run a rehoming/adoption service for small animals! (especially Gerbils)

  4. Nicki says:
