At Google there is a bewildering array of gadgets that you can either add to your posts, pages or even text widgets that makes your website more interesting and often more useful for your visitors.

These aren’t just “toys for boys” although there are a number of pretty cool games and gadgets that could easily come under that heading! However these are more than compensated for with gadgets that can give your current cities temperature right through to artwork, quotes of the day, calorie counters, recipes, maps, clocks, even online tv! There’s simply hundreds to choose from.

All you have to do is visit Googles gadget page, just pick the gadget you want from their directory of “gadgets for your webpage,” then customise that gadget, and copy-and-paste the HTML into your page’s source code.

If you want a certain gadget to be enabled in your sidebar as a text widget, just request this on the I.G.S. Forum.

Over the coming weeks i’ll be reviewing some of these codes and putting them here for you to have a play around with.
