Welcome to Acacia Mania!

After several years of succesfully keeping and breeding this delightful species of rodents I realised that there was very little information available about them on the Internet.  Hopefully this site will help make amends to this and give potential owners a basic grounding on their care.

The site will be dedicated to educating and informing those interested in the ownership, diet, breeding, housing and general care of acacia rats.  All the information  on this website is from personal  research and experience gleaned with this species and presented  in an easily accessible user friendly format.  Hopefully the information presented within the site will help provide the pet keeper or rodent hobbyist with all the help and guidance available  to keep their Acacia Rats happy & healthy,  and also at the same time give the casual reader a basic understanding of Acacia rats
